A new video interview with Jim Simons, a brilliant mathematician and successful hedge fund manager
I have recently come across this video interview with Jim Simons.
It's as new as they get considering that Dr. Simons does not give them every month. Neither mathematicians nor hedge fund managers are exactly celebrities, especially the former. And, to be quite precise, he is a former hedge fund manager, having retired from his active managerial position at Renaissance Technologies a few years ago to focus on his foundation that is doing a lot of good for science and mathematics in the US.
